To Europe In Three Flights

The Gin Mill
Plymouth Sloe Gin with a side of Parliament House

Hidden behind an unassuming door, nestled between restaurants on Spring Street you will find a Melbourne institution that will transport you to your favourite European destination.

Continuing up the stairs, past the gentlemen's club-esque Melbourne Supper Club, the building opens up to a stunning rooftop bar, Siglo. Uber cool staff float by as cocktails are shaken and classic lounge music plays.

There is an extensive spirits and wine menu along with a carefully constructed cocktail menu, which will leave you wanting to order one of everything.

The food menu offers up your traditional European fare like foie gras and jamon, to a fancy twist on the party pie and sausage roll; my personal favourite are the polenta chips with garlic aioli.

At Siglo time seems to slow down and you leave feeling like you just had a daycation in France, Spain or Italy. It is one of my favourite Melbourne bars and a place I will keep going back to for a bit of escapism after a long week.
