Sunday Daycation

Queen Victoria Market

My Sunday Daycation adventure kicked off with brunch at The Auction Rooms in North Melbourne. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly, everything you want when you haven't eaten yet that day. We munched on Poached Eggs with Maple and Coffee Glazed Bacon and the Breakfast Board, and sipped on Earl Grey Tea and fresh squeezed orange juice in the light filled conservatory.

Our journey then took us to the Queen Victoria Market to pick up some supplies for a Melbourne Cup luncheon we are planning. As always the market was PACKED and filled with chaos, but we got the delights we wanted without too much trouble.

One of everything please!

The Daycation was finished off perfectly with an afternoon tea date at Eltham Tea House  with a very special kleiner Junge and his Mami. The staff are very clued in when it comes to dairy and gluten allergies and do their best to prevent any cross contamination. There is a gated kids play area that can be seen clearly from most of the seating area so it is a great place to go if you have 'little uns'. The Kids Chocolate Milkshake was slurped up in a flash, they also make a delicious latte and hot chocolate.

French Mint Hot Chocolate *dairy free*
A Sunday well spent brings a week of content.
